  一、 單元教學內(nèi)容

新課標六年級英語下冊Unit1 How Tall Are You?教學設計

  話題:figure

  功能:能夠運用目標語進行身體或事物高矮、大小、重輕、長短進行描述和問答。

  語言結(jié)構(gòu):

  1.句型:How tall are you / is he / she? I’m / He / She is 160 cmtall.

  How heavy are you / is he /she? I’m / He / She is40 kg.

  How long / How big / How large is … ?

  I wear size 16.

  He/She is / are taller / heavier / bigger … than…

  2、詞匯:taller、stronger、older、younger、shorter、heavier、thinner、longer、bigger、smaller、meter、height、weight、length、size

  二、 單元教學目標

  a) 知識目標

  i. 能聽、說、讀A、B部分中的會話。

  ii. 能聽、說、讀、寫A、B部分Let’s learn、Let’s talk中的四會單詞和重點句型。

  iii. 能理解Let’s read中的內(nèi)容,并能做相應的問答。

  iv. 能夠運用計量單位:kg 和cm

  v. 了解Good to know和story time中的內(nèi)容。

  vi. 能夠認讀音標[ei],[ai],[Ri], 并能拼讀由以上音素組成的音節(jié)和單詞。

  b) 能力目標

  i. 能夠相互問答身高、體重、大小、長短,如How tall are you? I’m …cm tall. How heavy are you? I’m … kg .

  ii. 能通過比較詞進行事物或身體的比較或描述,如… is taller than ….

  iii. 能聽懂會唱歌曲 《 My Pets 》。

  iv. 能根據(jù)所給數(shù)據(jù),對兩樣事物進行比較。

  c) 情感、策略、文化目標

  i. 培養(yǎng)學生在觀察和測量中聯(lián)系英語的習慣。

  ii. 了解計量單位的完整和縮寫的寫法及換算方法。

  三、 單元重難點

  a) 本單元的'教學重點是讓學生在聯(lián)系日常生活的對話中運用比較級。

  b) 本單元的教學難點a. 各類比較級詞匯及相應問題的掌握。

  b. 比較級不規(guī)則變化和寫法的掌握。

  四、 單元教學課時安排建議:六課時

  第一課時:Part A Let’s start / Let’s learn / Let’s play

  第二課時:Part A Let’s try / Let’s talk / Let’s chant / Group work

  第三課時:Part A Let’s read & Part C Pronunciation / Let’s sing

  第四課時:Part B Let’s learn / Let’s play & Part C Task time

  第五課時:Part B Let’s try / Let’s talk / Pair work & Part C Good to know

  第六課時:Part B Let’s read & Part C Story time

  第七課時 :Part A Let ’ s learn / Let ’ s play / Let ’ s start /Let’s sing

  教學目標:

  (一)知識目標:

  1、使學生能聽、說、讀、寫有關比較級的單詞older、younger 、shorter、taller 、stronger。

  2、知道than是比較的意思,than前面要用形容詞比較級(v-er)。

  3、了解cm、kg分別表示長度和重量單位,并知道它們的讀音,會回答句型:How tall are you? How heavy are you?

  (二)能力目標:

  1、使學生初步掌握比較級的用法及句型。

  2、使學生知道形容詞比較級變化的一般規(guī)律。

  3、使學生能在一定的情境中自覺運用所學新知識。

  (三)情感目標:

  培養(yǎng)學生分析觀察能力,知道要關愛身邊的人,愛父母要從生活中的小事做起。

  教具準備:圖片、卷尺、釣魚桿。

  教學過程:

  Step 1.Warm-up ( revision )

  ( 1 ) Sing a song.

  What’s your favorite season?

  ( 2 ) Free talk.

  a. What’s your favorite season?

  Which season is it now?

  What’s the weather like in winter?

  Which season is always hot and sunny? / warm and rainy?/cool and cloudy?/cold and snowy?

  b. Which season can we make a snowman, winter or fall?

  Which season can we go swimming in a river, winter or summer?

  Which season can we fly kites, winter or spring?

  Which season is colder,summer or winter?

  Which is colder, water or ice-cream ?

  c. I can say : cold --colder

  Can you say? warm---warmer, cool---cooler, hot--- hotter, old ---older.

  Step2. Presentation (practice)

  older/ younger的教學

  1. How old is the woman? She is 35. 2. How old is the girl? She is 12.

  3. Who’s older, the woman or the girl? 4. 35>12, so we can say the woman is older than the girl.(出示圖片)12<35. We can say the girl is younger than the woman.

  5. Now let’s play a game. Guess:How old am I? If your number is more than my age, I will tell you older. If your number is less than my age, I will tell you younger. Let’s see who can guess quickly.

  6. How old am I? Guess, guess,guess.

  7. It’s my turn now. You should ask me and say older or younger to help me. (出示圖片)

  先請學生猜老師的年齡,假如學生猜出的年齡比老師的實際年齡大,老師就說older , older, 假如比實際年齡小,老師就說younger , younger。然后由老師猜圖片上小男孩的年齡,全班學生說older, younger來提示老師是否猜對。最后,由兩位學生分別猜中年男人和老奶奶的年齡,全班學生通過說older, younger 來提示。

  Shorter, shorter, shorter, make myself shorter.

  1.Look at the fishing rod, it looks very short. In fact it’s long. Let’s have a look. Oh, it’s too long. It’s difficult for me to take it. Now let’s make it shorter and shorter. Everybody should say shorter ,shorter , shorter. Then I’ll let you see it can be shorter and shorter. (出示釣魚桿)

  1. You look strong and tall. I can do it. Can you do it? (老師拉著拉力器說)

  2. Yes, I can .(請兩個學生分別做)

  3. You look as strong as me. But who is stronger, you or I ? Now, let’s play another game. If you think I’m stronger than her, please come here. If you think she is stronger than me, please go there. Everybody should say stronger , stronger . Ready, go.
