Good morning , I ‘d like to say thanks to you for this important interview.
my name is。。。, I am 22years old. I come from Yantai, a beautiful city of Shandong province . when I graduated from senior high school, I was admitted by School of Electronics and Information of Tongji University. It is my great honor to be one part of this big family and I started my college life.
It has been three years since I came to shanghai . I learned a lot both in my study and my way to solve problems. I’d like to summarize it from 3 aspects:
Firstly, I used to be a girl that had no patience either in my study or in my own daily life. When I met with problems ,I always went to people for help . I would never calm down for difficult things. This made me dependent on my parents and my teachers. When I was in my senior high ,I did things my teacher told me to do with no reflect on it and had no plan for my study . I take it for granted that good marks will come to me if I do whatever my teachers let me to do and so it was at that time. But in college things turs out to be different . I should make a long term plan for my study life and find problems and their solutions all on myself. Teachers would never help you on basics. They would answer you problems you can’t make yourself with amounts of hard work. I was’t quite adapted to this way of study at first . so my grades was very low in my first year. But I used to be good at examinations . I was very upset about myself . but I finally figured out that if I want to learn something , I have to study it hard . college is different form high school, here I will learn academics , which are complicated and deep. Since then I began to get rid from bad habits like dependent on people and have no patience for things. My study turned out to be better and better after that and the second year , I was honor to have a scholarship from Tongji University.
Secondly , my personality has been changed a lot during my college life. When I was a senior high student all I had to do is study but since I came to Tongji University I joined many communities like the English Corner, the climbing club, the Drama Club. My life became very interesting and since these communities are organized by students , we communicated a lot and had fun together , besides I learned how to communicate an cooperate with others. This helps me in my study. When I do team work with my fellow students , I know how to do to be in a team.
Finally and most important , I learned the basic knowledge of computer science , I really love this profession. And I am eager to use it in my graduate study and even my whole career. Thank you .
專家談保研:寫給準備保研面試的學生
我常作為考官出現(xiàn)在研究生招生面試現(xiàn)場,也接待過不少找我“套磁”的學生。很多人不是在專業(yè)知識的考核中輸給了競爭對手,而是在其他方面擊敗了自己。
我很在意學生讀研的目的。目的不端正的學生進校后不好好學習,還讓導師倒貼數(shù)據(jù)、幫忙寫文章。有的學生甚至自說自話地往外地跑,一去就是好幾天,不接電話,不回電話。這不但給導師添堵,而且浪費了學生自己的三年時光。于是,我開門見山就問學生為什么讀研,為什么讀我的研究生。
有的考生直截了當?shù)卣f,如今本科畢業(yè)找不到工作,而讀了研究生以后就能找到更好的工作。聽到這樣的回答,我眉頭一皺。本科生畢業(yè)不是找不到工作,只是你自己陷入“本科生找不到工作”的思維定勢而不去找。為什么別的本科畢業(yè)生能找到工作,而你找不到工作?你怎么知道研究生畢業(yè)后一定能找到更好的工作?這樣回答的人,不是出于自己的專業(yè)興趣讀研,而是出于一種逃避心理。我就把你給拒了,看你本科畢業(yè)后能不能找到工作!
有的學生信心滿滿地說,我向其他同學打聽過了,在你這里容易發(fā)文章,好畢業(yè),因此跟定你了。聽了這話,我心中很不爽。的確,我發(fā)文章多,但那是因為我學術(shù)水平高,并且用功,怎么能說“容易發(fā)文章”呢?聽了這個評價,感到仿佛自己的科研很廉價,隨便搗鼓幾下就能出篇文章。事實上,再好發(fā)文章的研究方向,也需要踏踏實實把實驗做出來,把文章寫出來。你說好發(fā)文章,好畢業(yè),莫非你發(fā)了一篇文章后,就不按老師的教學計劃好好做實驗了?
還有的參加面試者提供了簡歷。但一看,上面五花八門寫了很多東西,比如參加各類社團活動、商業(yè)活動,連參觀楊浦區(qū)敬老院、會修自行車都寫上去。一看就煩。這顯然采用的是評獎學金的思路:評獎學金中,把什么都寫上去,大不了別人不算,但至少不會遺漏。但簡歷,還是要有所取舍。我們是從事科學研究,我希望研究生能靜下心來管好自己的學業(yè)和科研,不希望學生入學后整天從事社團活動或者跑在外面。你現(xiàn)在興趣愛好這么廣泛,以后研究生入學后是不是還會這么“忙”?你做了這個、做了那個,但看起來更適合去商業(yè)企業(yè)。你有這個、那個興趣愛好,但哪個拿得出手,一下子把別人給比下去?
現(xiàn)在很多學生有科研經(jīng)歷,這是面試中非常好的談資。在面試中,老師喜歡那些進實驗室開展科研,甚至已經(jīng)發(fā)表文章的`學生。因為學生開展科研,不但說明他有科研興趣,而且還證明了其動手能力。但有些同學本來就是跟著師兄師姐“打醬油”的,卻把功勞全攬在自己身上了。其實如果你不是親自做實驗的話,是經(jīng)不起老師追問實驗細節(jié)的。另外,往往同學在介紹自己的科研時只是說自己研究了什么,發(fā)現(xiàn)了什么,缺乏“big picture”。其實描述自己的科研有固定的套路: 這個課題為什么重要,文獻中別人研究了什么,發(fā)現(xiàn)了什么,但還有什么地方不清楚或者沒有做。于是,用了什么方法,研究了什么,發(fā)現(xiàn)了什么,這個結(jié)果有什么意義。思路要清楚,
準備的時候可以按這條線索進行,當然,還要想清楚自己的研究有哪些局限性,下一步可以怎么做。
在面試中能看出不同學生的風格。有的學生對老師畢恭畢敬,進門先對老師們鞠個躬。有的學生油腔滑調(diào),嘴巴特別會說,也很會狡辯,讓人懷疑進來后是否只說不做,老師也管不著他。還有的同學態(tài)度有些傲慢,在自己的學校里是“學霸”,在面試現(xiàn)場也要擺出一種“我還不稀罕到你們這里來”的架勢,讓人疑惑給了他offer以后,他還來不來。有的同學發(fā)音不清晰,眼睛不看老師,給人一種言不由衷的感覺。還有的同學眼露兇光,說話咄咄逼人,讓人擔心進來后成為又一個“馬加爵”。雖然進門先鞠躬的同學未必是真心實意,但良好的第一印象有“加分”效果,而別的同學怪異的表現(xiàn)則有“減分”效果。
說了以上這些“反面教材”以后,我來說說我2013年新招的博士生小孟。他提前一年和我聯(lián)系報考我的博士生,并主動過來和我面談。他雖然是普通高校本科、碩士畢業(yè)的,但見面后談吐非常好,人實在,對于專業(yè)問題對答如流。并且他還說經(jīng)常讀我的博客,還能說出其中的內(nèi)容。我于是給他一些專業(yè)英語書、專業(yè)書籍和文獻,讓他回去看,不定期地交流學習進展。由于他不是學環(huán)境專業(yè)出身的,我讓他多看些環(huán)境專業(yè)的教科書,以便入學后學好課程。他利用業(yè)余時間復習,最后通過了專業(yè)英語筆試,并在面試中得到考官們的一致好評。馬臻(復旦大學環(huán)境科學與工程系副研究員,博士生導師)
