Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment.There were few people on the earth, and natural resources seemed to beunlimited.
Today things are different. The world has become too crowded. We are usingup our natural resources,and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals.If we continue to do this, human life on earth will not survive.
We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon benone left. Yet,with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are caught.Weknow that if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear. Yet, wecontinue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees. We see thatif rivers are polluted with waste products, we will die. Yet, waste productsare
still put into rivers.
We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate, in afew years, there won't be enough food.What can we do to solve theseproblems?
If we eat more vegetables and less meat, there will be more food available.Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals arekept.
Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them.
The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methodsof birth control.
Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems we shall have abetter and cleaner planet in the future.

魯濱遜，我想像你一樣！
讀書有很多很多的好處，它可以使你的人生不再平淡無味，也可以使你學識淵博，更能使你明白許多道理......正因為如此，所以我十分喜歡讀書，喜歡品味書中的`美好。
最近這段時間，我讀了好多版本的“魯濱遜”，還觀看了‘魯濱遜’的電影后，有了很深的感觸。
魯濱遜是個勇者。他的船在海上經歷了可怕的風暴，只有魯濱遜堅強地活了下來，還收養(yǎng)了一個野人當仆人。二十多年來，他在荒島上并沒有害怕，而切建造屬于自己的家園，教鸚鵡說話，養(yǎng)野貓為寵。
魯濱遜是個智者。當他發(fā)現(xiàn)葡萄壞掉時，就在樹干上曬葡萄干。當他發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的谷子沒地方裝時，就做了裝谷子的器具。他還會隨著旱季、雨季的變化得出種植規(guī)律，每年都有好收成。
魯濱遜還是個仁者。他收服野人為奴，給他做衣服、教他說話、和他一起打獵。經過努力，星期五成了魯濱遜的好幫手。
想想自己，比較一下魯濱遜。
如果我是魯濱遜，船在暴風雨中出事的話，我不會去接受那充滿困難和挫折的生活，因為我沒有他那樣的堅強。
如果我是魯濱遜，讓我一人在荒島之上，我不可能像他那樣隨機應變,積極自救，因為我沒有那種能力，我更沒那份自信。
如果我是魯濱遜，當看到食人族用人開宴會時，我寧可躲得遠遠的，祈禱他們永遠不要發(fā)現(xiàn)我，因為我沒有那種膽量。
勇敢、智慧、仁慈是魯濱孫身上最優(yōu)秀的品質，我現(xiàn)在不得不承認我與魯濱遜相比，自己是軟弱無能的。從出生到現(xiàn)在，父母為我鋪墊好了一切。我心安理得地過了一年又一年，而我還整天抱怨。我根本沒有意識到能吃飽穿暖，背上書包去上學，每天都有家人的關愛，社會的關注是一種莫大的幸福。
我要努力，像魯濱遜那樣自信、自主、永不放棄、不畏艱難。我要努力成為像魯濱遜一樣的人。

With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people canafford a car。 As a result， our roads are more often than not crammed with cars。However， with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars， the problemof air pollution bees even more serious。 So nowadays we advocate to lead alow-carbon life。
My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars。Byriding a bike， we can not only exercise our body but also protect ourenvironment。 Why not have a try， my dear friends?

Environmental problems are as big as not for individual country orindividual people to address。 In other word， we have reached the stage thatenvironmental problems be solved for international view。 To what extent do youagree or disagree?
In recent years， many nations have bee more aware of the environmentalissues each nation faces， such as air and water pollution。 The question is， arethe environmental issues a national problem or an international problem? It ismy belief that the environmental issues have grown to the point of being aninternational problem needing international cooperation to resolve。
Because of the differences in environmental policies， resources andtechnology， international cooperation could provide quicker results and have agreater impact on bringing resolution to environmental problems for nations ofdiffering environmental policies and of lesser resources and technology。 Bypooling international resources and technology to address the environmentalproblems， the disadvantaged nations are provided the assistance needed。Otherwise their environmental conditions deteriorate ultimately affecting theresources and environment of the world as a whole。
One of the difficulities to an international resolution to environmentalissues is the difference in individual nations view and policies towardenvironmental protection。 In order for international cooperation to occur andsucceed， the nations of the world must submit themselved to internationalstandards and supervision by an international mission elected by theparticipating nations of the world。 All members must agree to abide by thestandards established。
The environmental issues facing each country are not unrelated to the wellbeing of the rest of the world。 The impact is long term and international inscope。 Without international cooperation and agreement to address suchenvironmental issues as glacial melting at the South Pole， depletion of theozone layer， water pollution， air polution， etc。， the environmental conditionsof the world will deteriorate to the detriment of every nation， not just thosethat ignore or lack the resources and technology to resolve their individualenvironmental problems。
As part of the same planet， it is the responsibility of each individual andnation to protect the global environment。 Only international cooperation willprovide the timely solutions and the effectiveness needed to stop thedeteriorating global environment。

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even moreconcrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance ofenvironmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should bemade to put the population planning policy into practice, because more peoplemeans more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy theenvironment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them knowthat destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.
