Mr. Ross: Tea, please. I'm really a bit nervous now. I know nothing of your table manners. It would be in bad taste for a guest to make blunders.
羅斯:就喝茶吧。我現(xiàn)在有點(diǎn)兒緊張。因?yàn)槲覍?duì)中國(guó)的飯桌禮儀一點(diǎn)兒都不了解。如果做錯(cuò)了會(huì)破壞大家的.興致。
Arden: Don't worry, sir. As for table manners, there is only one rule you must observe. That's to make yourself at home.
阿頓:不要擔(dān)心,先生。至于餐桌禮儀,只有一點(diǎn)兒你需要記住,那就是不要客氣。
Mr.Ross: Thank you for your hospitality.
羅斯:謝謝你們的熱情款待。
Fred: Mr. Ross, which do you prefer, Brandy, Whisky or wine?

Mr. Ross: Brandy, please.

Receptionist: Hello, the International Hotel. May I help you?
接待員:你好,國(guó)際大酒店。有什么能為您服務(wù)嗎?
Fred: yes, I'd like to make a reservation for eight tonight.
佛瑞德:是的.今晚我想要預(yù)定8個(gè)人的餐位。
Receptionist: What time would you like your table?
接待員:什么時(shí)間呢?
Fred: At 7:30 o'clock. And I would like to sit in the non-smoking area.
佛瑞德:晚上7:30,我想坐在無煙區(qū)。
Receptionist: Would you like to sit in the hall or in the private room?
接待員:您想要訂大廳還是包間?
Fred: The private room, please.
佛瑞德:包間吧。
Receptionist: Wait for a moment, please. Let me check whether the private room is available or not. No problem.
接待員:請(qǐng)稍等,我查一下還有沒有包間。沒問題。
Fred: It will be for dinner. Reserve it under the name of Nova, the manager of Fashion Clothes Company.
佛瑞德:我們這是一個(gè)商業(yè)會(huì)餐。要以Future服裝公司經(jīng)理阿頓的名義預(yù)訂。
Receptionist: OK. A reservation for eight at seven, Room208. Please don't be more than half hour late, or we will have to give it to other guests.
接待員:好的。預(yù)訂7:30的8人餐位,208包間。請(qǐng)最好不要遲到超過半個(gè)小時(shí),否則我們就會(huì)給其他顧客。
