  商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作的教學(xué)初探

  [摘要]中國(guó)加入WTO以后,大量的涉外企業(yè)、事業(yè)、獨(dú)資、合資單位等,迫切需要既掌握專(zhuān)業(yè)基本知識(shí)和技能又有扎實(shí)的英語(yǔ)交際能力的高素質(zhì)的應(yīng)用型、復(fù)合型外語(yǔ)人才。為了適應(yīng)我國(guó)社會(huì)主義市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展形勢(shì),滿(mǎn)足新時(shí)期國(guó)家和社會(huì)對(duì)人才培養(yǎng)的需要,我國(guó)開(kāi)設(shè)商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作課程的高等院校日漸增多。探討了商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作的教學(xué)方法,以及如何通過(guò)靈活靈活多樣的教法,充分發(fā)揮教材的實(shí)用性、體現(xiàn)學(xué)用結(jié)合、學(xué)以致用的原則。

  《商務(wù)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作》是一門(mén)集商務(wù)貿(mào)易、英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言及寫(xiě)作技能為一體的專(zhuān)業(yè)課程。全書(shū)包括“普通商務(wù)類(lèi)”和“商務(wù)社交類(lèi)”兩種情景的英文寫(xiě)作訓(xùn)練。作為高職高專(zhuān)商務(wù)英語(yǔ)專(zhuān)業(yè)高年級(jí)學(xué)生使用的寫(xiě)作教材,要求使用者必須具有國(guó)際貿(mào)易實(shí)務(wù)的理論知識(shí)和扎實(shí)的英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言基礎(chǔ),通過(guò)專(zhuān)門(mén)的英文商務(wù)寫(xiě)作訓(xùn)練,能熟練書(shū)寫(xiě)各種商務(wù)情景下的英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用文,圓滿(mǎn)完成各種涉外商務(wù)交際活動(dòng)。教學(xué)過(guò)程中,如何采用靈活多樣的教學(xué)方法、充分發(fā)揮教材的實(shí)用性、體現(xiàn)學(xué)用結(jié)合、學(xué)以致用的原則,筆者就上述問(wèn)題作了初步的探討。

  一、充分發(fā)揮教材實(shí)用性

  涉外商務(wù)活動(dòng)一般包括商務(wù)業(yè)務(wù)和商務(wù)社交兩種情況。在商務(wù)業(yè)務(wù)中,買(mǎi)賣(mài)過(guò)程中的詢(xún)盤(pán)、報(bào)價(jià)、定購(gòu)、簽訂合同都是以書(shū)面形式進(jìn)行的,以體現(xiàn)其正式性,并可存檔供查閱;合同中各重要條款如包裝、保險(xiǎn)、運(yùn)輸、付款及索賠也是通過(guò)書(shū)面形式使其具有了法律效力。本教材“普通商務(wù)類(lèi)”英文寫(xiě)作將上述情景都包括在內(nèi),教學(xué)中應(yīng)著力培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在這些情景下進(jìn)行英文寫(xiě)作的技能,便于在今后的商務(wù)活動(dòng)中學(xué)有所用、學(xué)用結(jié)合。關(guān)于商務(wù)社交活動(dòng)諸如求職、接收工作、辭職、邀請(qǐng)、祝賀、致歉,為體現(xiàn)這些活動(dòng)的正式性、用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)行書(shū)面交流也是很普遍的現(xiàn)象。本教材“商務(wù)社交類(lèi)”英文寫(xiě)作即重點(diǎn)講述各種社交情景下英語(yǔ)應(yīng)用文的寫(xiě)作技巧。學(xué)生熟練掌握這些寫(xiě)作技巧,對(duì)于其在職場(chǎng)上形成和諧的人際關(guān)系、順利完成工作大有裨益。

  二、采用靈活多樣的教學(xué)方法

  傳統(tǒng)的英文寫(xiě)作課,主要是教師講授、學(xué)生練習(xí),教學(xué)方法單一、課堂氣氛沉悶、降低了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣。如何采用靈活多樣的教法、活躍英文寫(xiě)作課程,筆者作了以下幾種嘗試。

  1.學(xué)生參與講課 “普通商務(wù)類(lèi)”各章節(jié)編寫(xiě)順序與中文版《國(guó)際貿(mào)易實(shí)務(wù)》相同,主要包括商務(wù)貿(mào)易的基本步驟如詢(xún)盤(pán)、報(bào)價(jià)、訂貨、簽約以及商業(yè)合同的主要條款如保險(xiǎn)、運(yùn)輸、付款、索賠等。教師可布置由學(xué)生進(jìn)行每一章節(jié)的導(dǎo)入,這樣學(xué)生會(huì)積極查閱以前學(xué)過(guò)的貿(mào)易環(huán)節(jié)及合同條款,在課上進(jìn)行講解導(dǎo)入,既

  Report on :Suitability of Slovis Technology Corporation (STC) Introduction

  The aim of this report is to access whether Slovis Technology Corporation would be a suitable supplier of electrical goods for us.

  Findings

  A recent visit to the company shows that its facilities are quite

  old ,which results in a rather limited production capacity. Despite this ,STC produces an extensive range of high-quality electrical products including radios, CD players, cassette and video recorders .However, the out –of –date machinery means lengthy delivery time of up to three months. This situation may change when the planned modernization takes place next year . Conclusion

  At present STC would not be suitable for large orders requiring quick delivery.

  Recommendations

  It is recommended that we remain in contact with STC and reconsider a supply contract once the factory modernization is completed.
