If you want a hamburger, hotdog or fied potato, you can go to those REFRESHMENT STANDS or SNACK BARS, which also sell soft drinks.You can find these stalls everywhere, parks, theatre entrance, airport, bus stop, railway station, etc. The price there is very low and the food is excellent. And also if you want to find a better place to enjoy your hamburger, you can go to the FAST FOOD CHAINS.
The Italian food is very popular in America.You can buy it at a PIZZA STAND.It#39;s easy to find those stands, but remember, if you choose to stay there enjoying your food, you should pay some tips after finishing the meal.
There is another kind of restaurant that is called "LUNCHEONETTE" if you are particularly food of sandwiches, those are the right choices.To eat in such restaurants is quite economical.
And if you want some vegetables, you can go to the SALAD BARS on the street.
You can go to the DINERS or COFFEE SHOPS if you want to enjoy a full-scale Western-style food. There you can order food of various levels according to your own preference and economic status.
Of course there are also many CHINESE FOOD RESTAURANTS, but it is somehow expensive to eat there-if you want to had a good meal.
Finally, using VENDING MACHINES are the easiest way to solve your food problem.You can find anything in it, candy, biscuit, fruit, coffee and so on.

1. 這段對話發(fā)生在顧客剛剛進(jìn)餐館時。Reservation見是“預(yù)定、預(yù)約”的意思,在好一點(diǎn)的餐館里吃飯一般都需要提前預(yù)約,而當(dāng)你進(jìn)入一家餐館時,侍者首先就會問你是否有預(yù)約,Do you have a reservation?
2. 以誰的名字預(yù)定座位或是酒店房間一般用介詞under,比如,I have made a reservation for a double room in the Hilton Hotel under Mr. Peterson.我用彼得森的名字在希爾頓飯店訂了一個雙人間。
3. 國外的餐館里不一定允許吸煙,即使允許,一般也分為吸煙區(qū)和非吸煙區(qū),即smoking area和non-smoking area,所以對話中的non-smoking seating就是非吸煙區(qū)的座位。
4. 當(dāng)別人對你表示感謝時,你可以說“You#39;re welcome.”意思是“不用謝;沒什么” 。

Part 3 Manners at the Table 餐桌禮儀
1.英美人士去飯店還咖啡館時,往往比較注意自己的儀表,因為這些地方被認(rèn)為是正式的社交場合。飯店、咖啡館環(huán)境幽雅,一般都有背景音樂播放,因此顧客高聲說話、大聲喊叫的情況很少見。這與在國內(nèi)的餐廳就餐時不同,人們往往喜歡熱烈的氣氛,不時可以聽到滿桌“夾菜、吃啊、別客氣”或熱鬧的劃拳聲,這些現(xiàn)像在國外是絕對沒有的,如果你真想熱鬧,那就去酒吧。
2. 吃西餐時,讓刀、叉與盆、碟相碰發(fā)出響聲不好。渴湯時最好也不要出聲。如果不習(xí)慣使用刀、叉,可以要求招待為你換雙筷子。國外的餐廳中一般都為顧客準(zhǔn)備了筷子,比較周到。另外,在國內(nèi),用自己的筷子為別人夾菜是常事,人們這么做表示關(guān)系親密。而在英美國家,不可以用自己的筷子為別人添菜,更不應(yīng)把自己盤子里的菜分給別人,除非你還沒有動過。
3.在國外的餐館,客人吃完飯是要付小費(fèi)的`。小費(fèi)問題比較復(fù)雜,大多數(shù)人給餐館招待的小費(fèi)是其餐費(fèi)的 15%左右。給小費(fèi)時要注意,一般是將小費(fèi)放入盤中,而不是直接遞到招待手中,這樣顯得不尊重對方。另外,給小費(fèi)時,說話要客氣,不能說“Herer is the tip.”這樣聽起來太生硬。只說“Here is the bill, keep the change, please.” 就行了。
4. 在就餐時要注意的最重要的一點(diǎn)就是,你需要注意自己的形象。對于西方的餐桌禮節(jié),大多數(shù)中國人了解的并不多。最困難的是搞清楚什么樣的場合是要求禮節(jié)的。其實(shí),這方面并沒有統(tǒng)一的標(biāo)準(zhǔn),只是一種隨著時間的推進(jìn)而不斷發(fā)展的行為規(guī)范。餐巾的使用、肘部的擺放位置以及面包的食用方法是易出問題的地方。千萬不要將餐巾像小孩戴圍嘴一樣塞進(jìn)脖領(lǐng)里。飯后切記不要用力擦拭你的嘴巴,最后是輕輕地把嘴唇抹干凈,尤其當(dāng)你涂著唇膏的時候。
5. 對于手機(jī)的濫用,我們建議,在用餐時最好把手機(jī)關(guān)掉。如果你在這時接聽電話,就會讓主人認(rèn)為還有其它事情比他(她)的陪伴更重要。這種做法很不禮貌。如果真的有急事要處理,你可以事先把電話轉(zhuǎn)到餐廳,然后盡量在不被人注意的情況下去接聽。
6. 禮貌還表現(xiàn)在去洗手間的時間還錯開,以免一幫人同時離開餐桌而使進(jìn)行中的談話中斷。女士們在化妝間的談話也是如此。
7. 對于中國人來說,還有一個問題必須強(qiáng)調(diào)一下,那就是要拋棄對于手拿食物所懷有的根深蒂固的厭惡情緒,而西方人這樣做是不假思索的。不過大家要注意,食用面包時一定要掰開,不要用刀子切,一口吃一小塊。肘部要離開桌面。
8. 外國人不喜歡多吃糖,因為這樣易導(dǎo)致胖以及引起心臟病、高血壓等病。此外,歐美國家的人也厭惡動物油和鹽。吃太多的動物油鹽會對心臟有害。英美人士較少喝湯,烹調(diào)的菜肴也不帶湯,以干食為主。如果需要喝湯,則用勺子在湯盤里舀著送入口中。一般來說,一套正式的西餐包括:開胃品(APETIZER);湯(SOUP) 主菜(MAIN COURSE);餐后食品(AFTER-DINER SNACKS)和咖啡(COFFEE)。
