研究生面試英語口語

　　研究生在每一年的面試中都會(huì)有很多相同的問題，這些問題看起來很平常，卻有很多陷阱。回答這些常見的看起來很平常的問題，是很有藝術(shù)的。

　　研究生面試英語口語(一)

　　第一：考研原因

　　這個(gè)問題在口試中比較常見，也比較難以回答。我們務(wù)必要讓考官感到我們選擇這個(gè)專業(yè)是經(jīng)過深思熟慮的，是一個(gè)理性的選擇而不是一時(shí)沖動(dòng)。通常我們可以從以下三個(gè)方面來回答。

　　1、興趣，即強(qiáng)調(diào)對(duì)所報(bào)考的專業(yè)懷有極大的興趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就讀的專業(yè)與報(bào)考的專業(yè)一致，則可以說明想繼續(xù)深造(further education)的'愿望。如果不一致，則要說明報(bào)考專業(yè)對(duì)你的吸引力 (…appeals to/attracts me a lot)。

　　2、 優(yōu)勢(shì)，即強(qiáng)調(diào)研究生相對(duì)于本科生在知識(shí)、學(xué)術(shù)方面的優(yōu)勢(shì)，如：知識(shí)面更廣(wider knowledge)，學(xué)術(shù)更專業(yè)(more professional)，眼界更廣闊等(broaden one’s horizon)。

　　3、益處，即強(qiáng)調(diào)考研對(duì)你的未來的積極影響(have a positive effect on…)，可以從求職、職業(yè)規(guī)劃、人生經(jīng)歷等方面入手進(jìn)行說明�？蓞⒖嫉脑~匯、短語如下：be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be a definite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to… 等等。

　　對(duì)于那些在職考生或有工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)的考生來說，考官更傾向于提問他們?yōu)槭裁?放棄工作而)重新學(xué)習(xí)�？忌�可以直言在工作發(fā)現(xiàn)某些知識(shí)或技能很重要，希望能通過學(xué)習(xí)在這些方面進(jìn)行提高 (In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself。)

　　第二：未來規(guī)劃

　　考官有時(shí)會(huì)詢問考生對(duì)未來的一些規(guī)劃，其目的在于試探考生是否對(duì)時(shí)間、學(xué)習(xí)、人生有一定計(jì)劃性和掌控能力。

　　1、學(xué)習(xí)規(guī)劃。關(guān)于這一話題，考官通常會(huì)以一種較婉轉(zhuǎn)的方式提問，如：What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this university? 回答這一類的問題時(shí)，不僅僅要回答想學(xué)到什么樣的知識(shí)、成為什么樣的人，最好能夠稍微說說你會(huì)/計(jì)劃怎樣學(xué)習(xí)(即學(xué)習(xí)方法)。無論是傾向于學(xué)術(shù)理論性的還是側(cè)重于實(shí)驗(yàn)研究性的，都要把握一個(gè)原則：理論聯(lián)系實(shí)際，同時(shí)主次分明。

　　2、職業(yè)生涯規(guī)劃。職業(yè)生涯規(guī)劃其實(shí)就是明確自己未來的職業(yè)方向，雖然考官不常對(duì)此提問(基本上也是提問考生對(duì)所報(bào)考專業(yè)的就業(yè)前景持何種態(tài)度)，但是這個(gè)話題實(shí)際上涉及了一個(gè)人對(duì)自己的性格、天賦、興趣、能力以及社會(huì)現(xiàn)狀進(jìn)行綜合分析的能力，還同時(shí)也可以看出他對(duì)自己未來人生的一種期望、信念和熱情，因此考生也可對(duì)此稍做準(zhǔn)備，甚至可以將其放在自我介紹中(不建議口語不太理想的考生這樣做)。

　　需要注意的是，職業(yè)生涯規(guī)劃一定要根據(jù)自己的實(shí)際情況加以定奪，尤其要注意與所報(bào)考專業(yè)的契合度。

　　研究生面試英語口語(二)

　　1、"What can you tell meabout yourself?" ("關(guān)于你自己，你能告訴我些什么?")

　　This is not an invitation to give your life history. The interviewer is looking forclues about your character, qualifications, ambitions, and motivations.

　　這一問題如果面試沒有安排自我介紹的時(shí)間的話。這是一個(gè)必問的問題�？脊俨⒉幌Ｍ�你大談你的個(gè)人歷史。是在尋找有關(guān)你性格、資歷、志向和生活動(dòng)力的線索。來判斷你是否適合讀MBA。

　　The following is a good example of a positive response. "In high school I wasinvolved in competitive sports and I always tried to improve in each sport Iparticipated in. As a college student, I worked in a clothing store part-timeand found that I could sell things easily. The sale was important, but for me,it was even more important to make sure that the customer was satisfied. It wasnot long before customers came back to the store and specifically asked for meto help them. I'm very competitive and it means a lot to me to be thebest."

　　下面是一個(gè)積極正面回答的好例子："在高中我參加各種競(jìng)爭(zhēng)性體育活動(dòng)，并一直努力提高各項(xiàng)運(yùn)動(dòng)的成績(jī)。大學(xué)期間，我曾在一家服裝店打工，我發(fā)現(xiàn)我能輕而易舉地將東西推銷出去。銷售固然重要，但對(duì)我來說，更重要的是要確信顧客能夠滿意。不久便有顧客返回那家服裝店點(diǎn)名讓我為他們服務(wù)。我很有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)意識(shí)，力求完美對(duì)我很重要。"

　　2、 "What would you liketo be doing five years after graduation?"("在畢業(yè)以后5年內(nèi)你想做些什么?")

　　Know what you can realistically accomplish. You can find out by talking to othersMBA about what they accomplished in their first five years with a particularcompany after graduation.

　　"I hope to do my best I can be at my job and because many in this line of work arepromoted to area manager, I am planning on that also."

　　你要清楚你實(shí)際上能勝任什么。你可以事先和其他的MBA交流一番。問問他們?cè)诋厴I(yè)后在公司的頭5年都做了些什么。

　　可以這樣回答："我希望能在我的職位上盡力做好工作，由于在同一領(lǐng)域工作的許多人都被提為區(qū)域負(fù)責(zé)人，所以我亦有此打算。"

　　3."What is your greatest strength"?" ("你最突出的'優(yōu)點(diǎn)是什么?")

　　這是很多面試考官喜歡問的一個(gè)問題。

　　This is a real opportunity to toot your own horn. Do not brag or get tooegotistical, but let the employer know that you believe in yourself and thatyou know your strengths.

　　"I feel that my strongest asset is my ability to stick to things to get them done.I feel a real sense of accomplishment when I finish a job and it turns out justas I'd planned. I've set some high goals for myself. For example, I want tograduate with highest distinction. And even though I had a slow start in myfreshman year, I made up for it by doing an honor's thesis."

　　這是你"展示自己"的最佳機(jī)會(huì)，不要吹噓自己或過于自負(fù)，但要讓雇主知道你相信自己，你知道自己的優(yōu)點(diǎn)。

　　如可答："我認(rèn)為我最大的優(yōu)點(diǎn)是能夠執(zhí)著地盡力把事情辦好。當(dāng)做完一件工作而其成果又正合我的預(yù)想時(shí)，我會(huì)有一種真正的成就感。我給自己定了一些高目標(biāo)。比如說，我要成為出色的畢業(yè)生。盡管在大學(xué)一年級(jí)時(shí)我啟動(dòng)慢了些，但最終我以優(yōu)等論文完成了學(xué)業(yè)。

　　4."What is your greatest weakness?"("你最大的弱點(diǎn)是什么?")

　　You cannot avoid this question by saying that you do not have any, everyone hasweaknesses.

　　The best approach is to admit your weakness but show that you are working on it andhave a plan to overcome it. If possible, cite a weakness that will work to thecompany's advantage. "I' m such a perfectionist that I won't stop until ajob is well done.

　　你不應(yīng)該說你沒有任何弱點(diǎn)，以此來回避這個(gè)問題;每個(gè)人都有弱點(diǎn)。最佳策略是承認(rèn)你的弱點(diǎn)，但同時(shí)表明你在予以改進(jìn)，并有克服弱點(diǎn)的計(jì)劃。

　　可能的話，你可說出一項(xiàng)可能會(huì)給公司帶來好處的弱點(diǎn)，如可說："我是一個(gè)完美主義者。工作做得不漂亮，我是不會(huì)撒手的。"

　　5."How do you feel about your progress to date?" ("對(duì)于你至今所取得的進(jìn)步你是怎樣看的?")

　　Never apologize for what you have done.

　　"I think I did well in school. In fact, in a number of courses I received thehighest exam scores in the class." "As an intern for the X Company, Ireceived some of the highest evaluations that had been given in years.

　　6.絕不要對(duì)你以前的所作所為表示內(nèi)疚。

　　如可答："我認(rèn)為我在學(xué)校表現(xiàn)不錯(cuò)。事實(shí)上，有好幾門功課我的成績(jī)居全班第一。""在某公司實(shí)習(xí)時(shí)，我獲得了該公司數(shù)年來給予其雇員的好幾項(xiàng)最高評(píng)價(jià)。"

　　7.Why did you take the MBA examination? Would you please say something about the currentlyMBA program in China?

　　在面試快結(jié)束的時(shí)候，一般考官都會(huì)問，你有沒有什么要問的。除非你是最后一個(gè)面試者，你明顯感到所有的考官都急切的想離開，一般不適合說“I don’t have any question.”可以問考官一兩個(gè)你關(guān)心的問題(Questions you should askthe recruiter)：

　　16.What changes do you anticipate in our school? (你希望我們學(xué)校會(huì)有些什么樣的變化)

　　17.Which is the best course in our school? (什么課程是我們?cè)鹤詈玫恼n程)

　　18.Does our school provide some guidance of job to MBA?

　　最后可以說：Thank you for giving me the chance. Ihope to see you again and soon. (謝謝您給我機(jī)會(huì)，我希望很快能再見到您。)
