Limiting tbe Buying of Cars or Not?
Beijing has placed strict restriction on the number of newly purchased car in the city and the policy bas sparked heated discussion. Some people support the policy, saying it，s a powerful method to cope with the severe traffic congestion in the capital. With cars increasing drastically in the past few years, severe traffic jams occur not only in rush hours but at any time of the day now.
Others, however, aie strongly against the limitations. They argue that the great number of official cars，which are frequently used, is a big factor causing traffic congestion. But the policy mainly aims at private cars and has no dear restrictions on the use of official cars. Besides, car purchase limitation would hinder the development of China's automobile industry，and more people would lose their jobs as a result.
Personally, I think the restriction of buying and use of cars, official cars incladed, is inevitable and just a matter of time for Beijing. On the importance of family background
Is family background very important? With the increasingly keen social competition, some people strongly agree to the issue. They believe that family background is a solid foundation for development. Contrary to the standpoint, some people disagree but put more emphasis on one’s own efforts. To achieve success in life, they say, real ability and learning can word all the time, but family background obviously doesn’t.
As far as I am concerned, I give my vote to the latter opinion. It is undeniable that family background may provide some convenience to some extent. Nevertheless it cannot take the place of one’s efforts and persistence. Furthermore, only by cultivating our own core capability to improve our competition ability continually, can we stand firmly in competition.

Currently the ranking of colleges is very prevalent in China, fueled by parents who are eager to look for guidance and universities which spend lavishly to raise their standings.
But there has been much debate about the value of such rankings. Some experts speak highly of the rankings, noting that.the league tables are useful to college-bound students and their parents. The view is echoed by a 20xx study, which concludes that the rankings spur universities to do a better job of educating students. Others, however, cannot share this point of view. They dismiss the rankings as pointless, bluntly pointing out the dubious statistics used in the rankings. They think the very idea ridiculous that universities with very different cultures and programs can be compared.
As for me, I side with the former view. Though it is incredibly difficult to judge how well a university performs, it does not necessarily mean the panorama of a university is unavailable.
