【原文】

Plants have long been playing a crucial role in human well-being. Plants have many uses. They are edible. And they can also be used to make clothes, weapons, tools, fuel, drugs and houses.

【原文】
幾乎所有的白花都很香，越是顏色艷麗的花越是缺少芬芳。人也一樣，越樸素單純的人，越有內(nèi)在的芬芳。早上是蓮花開(kāi)放做好的時(shí)候，如果一朵蓮花早上不開(kāi)，可能中午和晚上就都不會(huì)開(kāi)了，人也一樣，一個(gè)人在年輕的時(shí)候沒(méi)有志氣，中年或晚年也更難有志氣了。每一株玫瑰都有刺，正如每一個(gè)人a的性格中都有你不能容忍的部分。愛(ài)護(hù)一朵玫瑰，并不需要把它的刺拔除，只要學(xué)會(huì)如何不被它刺傷就行。

Almost all white flowers smell very sweet. The more colorful the flower is, the less fragrant it smells. Like flowers, the simpler and purer a man is, the more inner fragrance he has. Lotus blooms best in the morning. If a lotus doesn’t bloom in the morning, it will impossibly bloom at noon and night. Like lotus, it’s more difficult for a young man without ambition to be ambitious in his middle age or old age. Roses are thorny. Human beings are alike. There must be some unbearable parts in one’s character. To love a rose, you don’t need to pull out its thorn, and you just need to learn how to avoid being hurt by its thorns.
第三篇：時(shí)間
【原文】
時(shí)間很難對(duì)付，既難控制又易浪費(fèi)。當(dāng)你向前看時(shí)，覺(jué)得有用不完的時(shí)間。比如說(shuō)，學(xué)期伊始，你可能會(huì)覺(jué)得有大量的時(shí)間，可到期末時(shí)，突然發(fā)現(xiàn)時(shí)間就要用完了，已沒(méi)有足夠的時(shí)間去做應(yīng)該做的一切了，于是，你就很擔(dān)心。解決問(wèn)題的方法是什么?那就是控制!時(shí)間很危險(xiǎn)。如果你不控制它，它就要控制你;如果你不能讓它服務(wù)于你，它便與你作對(duì)。因此，你必須成為時(shí)間的主人，而不是奴隸。

Time is tricky. It is difficult to control and easy to waste more time than you need. For example, at the beginning of a semester, you may feel that you have plenty of time on your hands. But toward the end of the term you may suddenly find that time is running out. You don’t have enough time to cover all your duties, so you get worried. What is the answer? Control! Time is dangerous. If you don’t control it, it will control you. If you don’t make it work for you, it will work against you. So you must become the master of time, not its servant.
